Officers,
Recent events have led me to a greater understanding of myself and my own purposes, and a far deeper knowledge of my art as a shaman and farseer. I have embarked upon a quest for intense mastery of my abilities and myself. I seek obstacles and challenges to overcome in all aspects of my life, in the hopes that by accomplishing my goals, I will learn to abide by and overcome the less useful or even harmful aspects of my multifaceted personality.
To that end, and in the hope of subjecting myself to greater service within the unit, I hereby formally submit my request for promotion to the rank of Soldier, and will subject myself to any and all required tasks and tests of aptitude. I thank you for your notice.
