OOC Guild Policies

  1. Applicant characters must be at least level 15.
  2. Characters are expected to adhere to lore and be a playable race, with some exceptions at the officers' discretion.

  3. God modding and metagaming are not permitted and offenders will be warned. Repeated incidents are cause for removal from the guild.

  4. Members are required to have a roleplay profile addon (such as XRP or TRP).

  5. Regarding chat and communication:

    1. Guild chat (/g) is IC only and is used as our communicator radio channel. Keep all OOC chatter in the OOC channel.

    2. The OOC chat community and the guild Discord server are for guild members and officer-approved guild friends only. Members are not permitted to invite non-members into the community and Discord invite links are to be used for personal access only. If a person who is not you also has access to your account, they are not permitted to be on a Servitors of Lothar character.

    3. See our chat standards post for more on what is expected from members in our OOC chat.

    4. Do not disparage other RP guilds or other players in our OOC chat. As long as someone is not doing something against Blizzard's ToS or illegal, it's not acceptable to mock or criticize how they have fun. Offenders will be reprimanded and repeat offenses will be met with removal from the guild.

  6. Regarding alts and dual-classing:

    1. There is no limit on the number of IC alts a member can place in the guild, but we do ask that each of those alts be played at least semi-regularly so our ranks are not bloated with unplayed characters. Each IC alt must go through an application process like all other new members.

    2. Anyone at the rank of Initiate or higher can apply to the guild on an alt.

    3. Duel-classing is permitted so long as members are willing to have their character learn and adapt to the second class through RP and it makes sense lore-wise.

    4. OOC alts are permitted and do not need an application. There is a maximum of two OOC alts in the guild per person.

  7. Attendance at unit meetings and events is strongly encouraged. If we're having a guild meeting, that isn't the time to do world quests or dungeons, although previously scheduled conflicts are fine.

  8. Activity policy:

    1. Any unannounced inactivity of 30 days or longer will result in removal from the guild, which also includes interaction with other members in terms of attending events and unit meetings. Logging in to reset the 'days since last log in' is not sufficient to prevent removal. Anyone removed for inactivity is welcome to reapply if they believe their activity level has changed and they will go through another application process.

    2. IC guilded alts have a two month inactivity period after which a member will be contacted about their lack of activity.
    3. If you are in an RP scene and need to AFK, it's basic kindness and courtesy to let your RP partner(s) know that you have to step away. If you are at an event, PLEASE let your DM know so that your turn can be skipped and the event isn't held up. We understand that sometimes things happen, however a consistent pattern of unannounced AFKing will be noticed.

    4. Anyone who knows they will be inactive for a month or longer can request to be placed on Reservist rank. This requires either contacting an officer directly or posting in the AFK thread on our forums. Reservists who have been inactive for two months or longer, without word on a return date, will be removed from the guild.

  9. Members are required to be open to seeking, building, and fostering RP not only in the guild but on the server as a whole. This guild is for RP. If a member does not wish to RP they will be required to seek a new home in a guild more suited to their needs. Likewise, repeated lurking and/or terminal non-responsiveness will be grounds for a warning and repeat offenses are cause for removal from the guild. A member who wants RP is expected to seek and generate it; we do not hand hold people to RP.

  10. Members are expected to treat others how they would wish to be treated. Lying, stealing, skipping commitments without notice, offensive behavior and language in both guild chat, world channels, and PuGs, and any other actions which would discredit the guild or require Blizzard intercession (ie: are against Terms of Service) will be grounds for anything from a warning to removal from the guild, depending on the severity of the transgression.

IC Guild Policies: The Rule of Six

  1. Servitors are expected to know and follow their chain of command. Disregarding an Advisor or Commander's orders is grounds for punishment and even discharge from the order.

  2. Servitors are required to carry their C.O.M.M. on their person at all times.

  3. Servitors holding the rank of Initiate and above are required to wear the order's colors at unit meetings and missions, barring orders to the contrary. Scouts are exempt from wearing tabards on missions due to their role in combat.

  4. Servitors will remain mindful of the order's motto: “Strength, Courage, Compassion.” They are to conduct themselves at all official proceedings and missions with proper military bearing.

    1. Servitors are expected to render appropriate honors, e.g. salute, when in the presence of a uniformed officer (ranks Advisor and above) and rise while saluting.

    2. Servitors are expected to address one another formally during official proceedings by rank and surname (when appropriate).

    3. Servitors who are not aware of military customs and courtesies are directed to ask their sword brethren for instruction on appropriate conduct.

  5. Servitors are required to practice operational readiness, maintaining arms and armor and learning appropriate skills in order to maximize their combat effectiveness.

  6. Servitors are not to sanction, demand, or willingly participate in duels beyond first blood. Likewise, any physical conflict of a personal nature which results in a Servitor's inability to carry out their duties, such as brawling, will be responded to with the utmost severity, as will all cases of personal misconduct that interfere with the standing or effectiveness of the order.
