History:

-Raised behind the wall in the City of Gilneas
-At 8, found a copy of a book which detailed the exploits of the greatest paladins in Azeroth - determined that he wanted to be a paladin.
-Bit by a feral worgen at 17, cured of the insanity that coloured the ferals by the Kal'Dorei
- Served in the defense of the city at the ages of 17-18, was injured once by a forsaken's dirk.
-Taken to Stormwind for specialist treatment - his brother Alivor Bane went with him as an escort.
- At 18, he tried to join the paladin orders in Stormwind, but was turned away.
-Joined the Blazing Dawn at 19 - a peaceful order dedicated to ending conflict and war in general.
- Met Zelvia - was given advice to trust no-one and nothing. In truth, Zelvia was just a guise of another character, the mage Brinwen, who used Zelvia to feel him out, and determine what was to become of him.
- Alivor moved to Outlands to continue his alchemical experiments on himself without being under scrutiny.
- Knighted by Dawnmaster Valahand, and given various gifts and honours with his title.
- Valahand's death, by Caleb's hands. He had been convinced that Valahand was possessed by a demon, and that this was the only way to make peace with it. Whether or not this is true is uncertain, though it acts as his excuse.
- Caleb and a young draenei priest and squire of his Order made a pilgrimage to the Exodar, to meet and speak with the Naaru, O'ros - the result of this was the start of Caleb's insomnia, and a vigil for several day.
-Caleb wakes from his vigil. He imagines, however, that he can see Valahand's ghost, and often speaks with it, much to the distress of those around him. It became something that plagued his existence.
- Zelvia and Caleb argue and come to blows - Zelvia calls him weak, and claws his neck. The injury begins to worsen as time goes on.
-His necklace is revealed to be cursed, and the source of the wound's festering. The necklace won't come off.
- Caleb is pronounced acting Dawnmaster of the Blazing Dawn.
-Makes the accquaintance of Cyrell Lucavi, the Lady Marshall of the Order of the Sepulchre, a paladin order.
-Caleb and Cyrell discuss his predictment, in which she professes that she will mercy-kill him if it comes to that; Caleb is genuinely horrified by the prospect of her being able to say such without fear or shame.
-Due to Cyrell's help, Caleb sleeps for the first time in nearly a week and a half. He suspects that his curse might be the reason he is able to not sleep for longer periods of time, though he had other suspicions as well.
-Serves with the Argent Dawn in the Plaguelands, though he is told he is not suited for the work that they give him, and it is expressed that it would be in their best interest if he remained with his Order.
-Spoken to by the mage Brinwen, who told him of another piece of scourge weaponry and magic, lodged in his side - presumably from the early injury mentioned. This would later be revealed to be complete fabrication on her part. She had already appeared to him in the guise of Zelvia, though Caleb was ignorant of that fact.
-Spoke with O'ros once more, who continued to insist that Caleb would never be a paladin, and lacked all traits of a paladin.
-Upon the troubles with O'ros, Caleb abandoned the Blazing Dawn and it was dismantled at his own hand. He fell into a period of both grim determination, and despair. He vowed that he would become a paladin, despite the divine council.
-Caleb was invited to join The Order of the Sepulchre, much to his surprise. He was the first recruit who was unable to channel the Light, and the first afflicted worgen within the Order.
-Given an early promotion from Acolyte to Squire, within a matter of days, a largely unheard of event at the time.
-Sent on a pilgrimage to Uther's Tomb. he was joined by Brinwen, who revealed herself to have a slightly darker than normal nature, and they quickly became entrenched in each others' secrets. In reality, this was a ploy to garner his trust, and most of what she told him were lies. She continued to impress upon him the belief that he was, in some way, more than who he was.
-Rewarded with the Impervious Mind Medal, for his unwavering faith if nothing else, by the Order of the Sepulchre
-Sent on a Test of Tenacity that nearly resulted in his death, and in some dishonour within the order. He recalled seeing Valahand's ghost once more, but Caleb never spoke of that. He did, however begin to speak rather more cautiously of his Order, at this point, and began to take more solace in himself.
-It is at this point that Caleb began to have dreams about the burning of Stratholme, and the events leading up to Arthas' ascension to the frozen throne. Though they were just dreams, he thought that they might be memories. Spoke to Martigan and Emmery, two high ranking members of his order about it. Emmery peered into Caleb's dreams and memories and emerged shaken, but not knowledgeable.
-Confided in his friend Adam, who he was squired with. Adam listened intently to what he said, but was disturbed, and urged Caleb not to pursue it further.
-Martigan and Emmery take Caleb to Stratholme, which they suspected was the city he dreamed about. A blossom of Arthas' Tears presented itself in Stratholme to Caleb, along with intense feelings of familiarity and confusion - though without explanation or anything more than vague suspicion. In reality, it was just his own subconscious, tricking him into thinking he had seen things that he had not. He wanted to believe that he was part of a greater mystery, subconsciously, and it became so.
- Emmery and Brinwen plan a trip to Northrend to try and help illuminate Caleb's memories and dreams. Caleb was apprehensive and remained so. Brinwen began making her own preparations for him there, though he remained ignorant of that fact.
-Attempted to aid an ill man in the Cathedral in conjunction with Adam and Emmery. The man revealed himself to be possessed by some sort of shadow demon. Caleb absorbed it into himself, using his natural gift to oppose curses (due to his already cursed nature) to crush the demon within his own body.
-Annoited and proclaimed a Knight by the Clergy of the Holy Light's Reverend Mother, Rennali.
- With his new-found brashness and pride from being anointed as a paladin, he attempted to purge Westfall of the feral worgen packs living there. He sustained wounds on his feet, yet continued to fight against them. this time, with a small force that he almost believed that he was the commander of. His warriors, however, got out of hand, and an innocent person was killed. The pack blamed Caleb, and were after his blood. He was eventually teleported away by Brinwen to the Cathedral, where his wounds were treated. Brinwen commended him for his efforts, as if to encourage the mentality he had. The ferals, however, openly condemned him, saying he was as mad as Arthas -- which he did not appreciate. The comparison was beginning to wear at him.
-Alivor returns from Outlands, though Caleb remained unaware of it, until he revealed himself to him, wearing the armor of his order, which he said had been a gift from a strange woman. Though neither of them knew it, it had been a gift from Brinwen. Caleb felt a lot of shame and anger towards his brother's play-acting at being a paladin, and they began to drift apart.
-Told by Brinwen that the wound around his neck should have killed him long ago. She had been keeping him alive, though she never disclosed that fact to him.
-Knighted as a full paladin by the Order of the Sepulchre. His brother followed him to the Order, in an effort to bond with his brother again, but the distance between them became more and more obvious. Caleb was frustrated with his brother's half-hearted attempts at being a paladin, and the fact that he considered it to be play-acting where as Alivor was frustrated with his brother's refusal to remember their shared childhood, and his constant denial of remembering it at all. Caleb's childhood memories, which had already been fading away, were now gone entirely. He willed himself to forget.
-Confesses everything to a worgen priest named Aett. Aett believed that Caleb was suffering from a possession, but after some efforts from him, it was revealed that he was not in anyway magically altered. Aett continued to firmly believe that Arthas had some grip on him, from beyond the grave.
-Falls in love with Elsiere, a woman from the Clergy of the Holy Light. He confided in her, and expressed his trepidations about going to Northrend. He promised her, nonetheless, that nothing bad would happen, and she, in turn, promised that she would follow him through to the end. He took her with him on the expedition.
-The expedition to Northrend costs him dearly. Caleb arrives in Northrend, and rides to where he thinks his memories are guiding him. He goes first to Angrathar, and then heads North. The group he led, which included Martigan Lighthammer, Elsiere, members of the Clergy, his brother, Aett, and others, begins to fear that he is leading them to their deaths. The begged him to turn back but he stubbornly believes he is something he is not. When he arrives at Frostmourne Cavern in Dragonblight, they begged him not to go in, but he lost Elsiere's love for him, the respect he earned by his fellow paladins, and his own humanity, when he pulled from Frostmourne's Cavern the runeblade Self Loathing, which had been left their by Brinwen to confirm all of his suspicions; he was the heir to the Frozen Throne. In actuality, he was not anything at all. But he believed he was, and was given the power to do such.
-As a last act of retaliation, he slashes through the ghost/hallucination of Valahand that had been clinging to him. He also attempted to murder Elsiere, after she abandoned him at the mouth of Frostmourne cavern, despite her vow to follow him to the end.
-Recruited a legion of death knights to his cause - the first willing recruits. They were pre-made death knights left over from the days of the Scourge, and still loyal to the Lich King. Caleb was able to convince them of his power without showing much of it. He also turned the paladin Nathaniel into one of them, after the paladin tried to bring him home.
-Declared Stratholme his city, though was only seen outside of it, or in a strange, dream like state where he walked through the city, fueled by his own delusions of grandeur and Brinwen's illusions.
-In his mind, Caleb managed to defile Uther's Tomb, causing the ground and area around it to become unhallowed. However, he was not able to destroy tomb it. This was because he was actually unable to unhallow the tomb at all; Brinwen gave him and those around him an illusion of the ruined tomb, and made it seem like Caleb had succeeded. It faded, once he and his death knights left the area, and all returned to normal.
-He ripped out his own heart in an attempt to make himself immortal, only kept alive by false magic.
-Murdered Tilyn, a young priestess of the Order of the Sepulchre, before transforming her into a hobbled ghoul. The ghoul eventually dismantled, as Caleb was hardly powerful enough to create actual undead, only illusions and dreams of them, and her remains were buried by the order.
-He briefly manifests as the original Caleb, regretting his actions, who advises Esmond, Praetorian of the Order of the Sepulchre, of how to defeat the corrupted Caleb within his physcial body. He would later have no memories of ever advising Esmond, and insist that it had been his troublesome, long separated, heart that had done such.
-A young priestess named Bellisente becomes increasingly important in Caleb's livelihood in a desperate, mad quest to save him. She was pregnant when she arrived at Caleb's doorsteps, and swore to stay by his side. Caleb, on the other hand, swore to keep her alive long enough for her to see the world re-made, and her child die.
-The bridge to Stratholme is blown up. Caleb's effort to repair it drain him considerably. Brinwen begins to wean him off of power, seeing that he's become out of her control, and no longer worth keeping.
-Another attempt to was made to destroy the city of Stratholme by the dwarves in the Order of the Sepulchre. Sir Braxley Ragefist blows himself up in the attempt, knowing that his life was already forefit due to being afflicted with the plague from the plague cauldrons set up within the area, and the last remnants of Caleb's fading power.
-Retrieves a communication device to speak with the Order of the Sepulchre as he sees fit. Caleb, in a more deluded state, attempted to commune with the Order on how a resolution will be reached. Caleb's heart was given to Bellisente for safe keeping and protection, in this mindset, though once again, he forgot about this, so intent on his role as the false Lich King that he forgot about his redeeming moments.
-A young squire, Belethial comes to Caleb in Stratholme, and implores him to tell her why he did what he did. He offers her an explanation, and it is because of this that he doesn't kill her. Subonciously, he hoped that his memory would be preserved, even though he might die. The Order, not longer after, announced that Caleb must die, and should be killed on sight. This enrages Caleb, though in time, he comes to accept it. The Order makes plans to meet him on a battleground and see him destroyed.
-Plaguewood, and the surrounding areas of the Eastern Plaguelands are heavily bombed prior to the last battle of Caleb's life as the false Lich King. The battle of New Avalon commences, as planned, and both forces assemble.
-Goredar, the first death knight champion, flees. Nathaneil, the twisted paladin, is destroyed, Varict, the general, is annihilated by his own hand, and his own sword begins to rebel against him, as Brinwen strips him of all of his power, seeing that the end is nigh. Caleb is destroyed, as the Lich King. He repented upon his destruction, leaving behind a battered remnant of Caleb Norwill.
-Caleb woke up, with Bell Martin at his side. He remembered nothing. His title of praetorian became jeopardized within the Order, and he was scolded for his grief for the dead friends he has, and for the explanation that is given when he asked what happened to him.
-Found his horse, Glory, in the Plaguelands, as a deathcharger. This plunged him further into his depression, and when he made his pilgrimage to Uther's Tomb to ask for forgiveness, he finds he can no longer take solace in prayer.
-Changed his title from 'The Reborn' to 'The Repentant'.
-With the large amount of people who leave the Order, including Esmond Khaston, who Caleb believed to be his Kinglsayer, Caleb questioned his placement there, and eventually left himself, likely for the short term. However, the short term became long term when he was publicly excommunicated, and is given the title of Oathbreaker.
-Time passes, and Caleb joined the Order of Goldrinn, through which he hopes to accomplish his own ends. It was led by Esmond Khaston, who he had sworn fealty to, since he believed that Esmond was the one who finally gave him justice. In time, his memories of what happened are returned to him, though his comprehending of them remained flawed.
-Caleb was restored in standing, as a gesture of good faith, to the Order of the Sepulchre, though Cyrell Lucavi made it clear she had no desire to do such.
-Caleb was heavily chastised by the Order of Goldrinn for disrespect, as Caleb revealed that he has no understanding or knowledge of what the basis of their Order even is, simply having been never informed of such things. It became obvious that the Order was not going to further his own needs, and the it would soon be time to leave.
-Caleb spoke with a fortune teller, Kulma, on how to further his agenda in regards to the Order, and how to progress to the destiny he favors. She advised him to leave the Order of Goldrinn and make his own way in the world.
-Caleb left the Order of Goldrinn, and briefly served a small Lord before joining with House Rasksmal. Lord Beren Rasksmal is a long time friend of his, and a good man in Caleb's eyes - more suitable than the past lords he's served.
-Caleb was named the god father of Elsiere's unborn children, and began to become more and more part of her life, despite what happened between them. She married Martigan Lighthammer, and forgave Caleb for all of his past sins and transgressions, including his attempt to murder her. Caleb himself, remains bitter about her marriage, though claimed to be happy for her; in some ways, he was.
-Re-knighted with honours by Lord Rasksmal, and briefly held the rank of Captain for a small task force. It was stripped of him when Rasksmal retracted from the Alliance it was needed for, and subsequently denied it had ever happened.
-Elsiere's children are born. Caleb visited them, and found himself very fond of them both. Elsiere expressed her desire that the girl, Maria, squire under him when she was old enough to do such. Caleb was greatly flattered by this, since he had no experience teaching squires.
-Caleb lead House Rasksmal through the Plaguelands in an effort to show them his homelands, and express the need for them to send troops to the North. It backfired when the House abandons him to tend to a minor complaint, leaving Caleb alone on the edge of Andorhal.
-Caleb remained in the Plaguelands for another three days. His absence was not noted or recorded. He eventually recalled the entire House back to the Plaguelands, to show them the Western portion; though he publically condemns their neglect.
-Caleb briefly considered joining the Argent Crusade once more; he was refused, but vowed to serve as a champion nonetheless. He also participated in the Argent Tournament in Icecrown, as a champion. While Caleb did quite well in the early stages, his entrance was frowned upon, and again, he remained absent from his duties to his House. The abscence was once again, unnoticed. He was unhorsed by Sir Eadric the Argent Champion, which denied him the win.
-After he returned to Stormwind, he was greeted with a riot in the Mage's District, led by the Lord Rasksmal. Caleb was called in to fight within a civilian district, resulting in a perceived loss of civilian life and the encouragement of chaos. He refused the order, along with a few others. He renounced his vows, unhooked his tabard, and Lord Rasksmal renounced their friendship.
- Caleb signed on with the Servitors of Lothar, in the hopes of taking back his homeland.
