The Guard
Battlefield Deployment ((OOC))
This is just something to add another dimension to Guard RP and it's on a volunteer basis.
Here's how it'll work:
1) The Alliance has sent out a call for help from irregular and special operations units, asking they send anyone who can be spared to certain battlegrounds where they need extra pushback against the Horde.
2) At the Guard meeting Friday, Eth will call for volunteers. Volunteers may pair off, or form a larger group--the main thing is that they agree among themselves when they can get together.
3) You'll be given a choice of battlegrounds your group can be "deployed" to. You pick one and then IC spend a week there. You can still have GCD access to talk with folks back home, you can journal about your adventures, and submit "dispatches from the front".
4) Do you really have to pvp? You don't have to run the battleground every day. But I would encourage you to at least do a battle or two with your partner, because it actually can provide material for your RP and writing efforts. Another idea for RP would be to find a setting that resembles your chosen battleground and get together with your partner or group to RP some downtime. Or you could RP a "scouting" mission. Use your imagination and have fun with it!
