Light Never Fades

0
John's entire life until the age of eighteen was spent farming, unaware of everything. He lived with his mother and two brothers growing just enough food for them to get by. His father had died on an adventure, though the truth is held behind his mother's lips.

At eighteen, their farm was dying, and they decided that one of them was going to have to leave. Although John was weaker than his two brethren, he had more intellect and knowledge in situations that would likely get the others killed. Seeing this as also an opportunity to see the world, learn current events, and find out what had happened to his father, Byrden left, without shame, without regret, and without looking back.

His father had always told stories before he died to John about The Alliance and many different people whose names he forgot as time went on. What he did remember was that in every one, there is The Light. Though his mother and his siblings couldn't produce the same power his father could, the young priest proved to be different, emitting a light that enveloping darkness couldn't drown.

Using said powers, John had traveled as far as to the tip of the eastern continent, meeting along the way many unforgettable allies and defeating some of the most dangerous enemies. It was then when he decided to relax did he meet Philomene Asteris, Commander of the Servitors of Lothar.

Almost immediately inspired by their faith in Anduin Lothar, he went through tough terrain, intimidating interrogations, and delicious eggs, until he was admitted as an applicant in the military.

With helpful words from friends and his own goal to prove himself with his power, John Gregory Byrden carries on his adventures, still hoping to one day learn the fate of his beloved father.
